Essential skills and experience:
- comfortable using agile methodologies, with an understanding of how to design in the constraints of a politically-led organisation
- ability to work autonomously, whilst also being a core team member and helping us to join up the bigger picture of the projects
- comfortable working alongside product and organisation designers as well as frontend developers
- ability to communicate the work simply and clearly for less experienced audiences
Desirable skills and experience:
- experience of having worked on this phase of a project in the past
- extensive experience of designing and delivering end-to-end public services for local and central government clients
- experience of working alongside other commercial agencies on a project
- experience delivering work in an international context which saw you overcome language, context and cultural barriers
Responsibilities:
- supporting the team to move through the Beta and Live phases of the project over the next 6 months
- design and deliver a clear service model for the two projects
- work with other design specialisms to make sure we have a clear blueprint for the end-to-end service and that we have the right capabilities to deliver
- support inexperienced colleagues in city teams to understand core concepts, bringing them on the journey for both the approach and the end result
Outputs:
- helping design the end-to-end service and map out the future experience for residents and staff
- one or multiple tested versions of service
- value proposition and business case for future service
- a live service in Bratislava (property tax) and Sofia (address registration)
